Answer:

whenever an acid reacts with metal carbonates or metal hydrogen carbonates it evolves CO2 along with salt and water.

so CO2 gas is liberated here.

to test it collect it and bring near a burning candle

if it gets extinguished then it is CO2

hey mate here is your answer

when an acid reacts with a metal carbonate the products are water , salt and Carbon dioxide

when ethanoic acid is added to sodium carbonate CO2 gas is evolved...

to test the presence of CO2-

pass this gas through lime water and it will turn milky... on excess passage the milkiness disappeares due to the formation of a soluble bicarbonate I.e Ca (HCO3)2
