2CH3COOH+Na2CO3-->2CH3COONa+
CO2+H2O
so carbon dioxide is evolved....
to detect the presence of this gas...pass it through lime water...it will turn lime water milky...

co2 is evolved when the ethanoic acid react with sodium carbonate. we know that when any acid react with sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate it evolved co2 and water or salt
