Answer:

the name of the gas is oxygen(o2).

During photosynthesis plants absorb carbon dioxide and sunlight to produce carbohydrates. Chlorophyll absorbs sunlight and becomes active. The solar energy trapped by chlorophyll breaks down water molecules by the process of photolysis. Photolysis is a type of photo oxidation reaction which releases oxygen. This released oxygen gets emitted in the atmosphere.

hope it helps. regards.
