Hydrogen gas is liberated when acid reacts with metal. And the presence of gas can be tested with a lit matchstick.. When we expose a lit matchstick to gas it gives a pop sound and fires goes off.

ACID + METAL = SALT + HYDROGEN
WE CAN CHECK IT BY PLACING A MATCHSTICK AND IT WILL BURN WITH A POP SOUND
