  1. if metal reacts with acid then the hydrogen gas is formed .for example when sodium react with dilute hydrochloric acid then salt are formed and hydrogen gas evolved .
  2. if carbonate react with acid then also hydrogen gas are evolved.

Test

  1. bring a burning candle near the gas only hydrogen gas burns making a pop sounds .This shows that hydrogen gas evolved in the reaction.
