☆The gland associated with the digestion of carbohydrates in the human alimentary canal is SALIVARY GLANDS.

☆These glands secrete saliva containing an enzyme called SALIVARY AMYLASE ( ptyalin) .

☆It converts STARCH INTO SUGAR at optimum pH of about 7 .

[It is due to these salivary glands that our mouth waters when we eat or smell something we like ]
