Name the group of genes that have been identified in normal cells that could lead to cancer. How do these genes cause cancer?

Oncogenes invade into normal cells, starve them ,multiply and increase its number,n form tumor

Oncogenes are responsible for converting normal cells into cancerous cells. The mutations that happen in these genes are not being inherited. We have two common oncogenes. A specialised protein that has the capacity to control cancer growth and spread is HER2, found in some cancer cells for some cancers like breast and ovarian cancer cells. The genes of RAS family involves proteins in communication pathways, cell growth and cell death. Oncogenes invade normal cells, starve the normal cells,multiply to increase their number and finally tumour formation takes place
