Diamond is known to be the hardest natural metal on the earth. Diamond is a unique form of carbon.
It is made of carbon atoms. A carbon atom has four electrons on its outer shell. The electrons are shared by four more carbon atoms in the case of a diamond. It gives a diamond its stiffness and makes it the hardest non-metal on earth.
