During the British rule in India, there was strict Press regulations. The papers in Vernacular language appealed more to the masses. Here, I'm giving you some Vernacular papers:

1. Samvad Kaumudi (Bengali, started by Raja Rammohan Roy).
2. Rast Goftar (Gujrati, started by Dadabhai Naoroji)
3. Mirat-ul-Akbar (Persian, started by Raja Rammohan Roy)
4. The Bengalee (Bengali, started by WC Banerjee and edited by Surendranath Banerjee).
5. Kesari and Mahratta (Hindi, started by Bal Gangadhar Tilak).
6. New India (Magazine, started by Annie Besant).
7. The Amrit Bazaar Patrika (Bengali)
8. Shome Prakash (Bengali, started by Shri Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar)

Hope my answer is satisfactory!
Thanks....
