Buranjis were the historical works written by Ahoms.
The Ahom kingdom ruled the region of Assam and its surroundings from 1228 to 1826. The Buranjis which are classical historical works or chronicles in Assamese language were written by Ahoms and later by their successors. They provide us detailed information about the Ahoms.
We see the first Buranji was written on the instructions of founder of Ahom kingdom Sukaphaa.
