The hormone responsible for descent of testes into scrotum is Anti mullerian hormone (AMH).
It is secreted by sertoli cells.
Failure of this process result in sterility because of the failure to the formation of gametes i.e failure of spermatogenesis which takes place in tests at a particular temperature i.e 2.5 to 3C° lower than normal body temperature.
