T3 and T4 regulate your body's temperature, metabolism and heart rate.Iodised salt is advisable to help reduce the chance of iodine deficiency in humans. Iodine deficiency commonly leads to thyroid gland problems, specifically endemic goiter. In endemic goiter, there occurs enlargement of the thyroid gland due to iodine deficiency.
