Testes -

Testes is the part of male reproductive systme of male gonads.

Testes is a gland where sperm are produced.

Also, the secretion of male hormone i.e., testosterone is done by testes.

Function of testes is to promote growth of secondary sexual characters in male which include growth of hairs on face, deepning of voice and muscles growth.

Also, it supports  development of male reproductive tissues. For example, prostate and testes.

Ovaries -

Ovaries is the part of female reproductive system or female gonads.

Either of the two ovaries produce eggs every month.

Ovaries secretes hormones such as Oestrogen and Progesterone.

Oestrogen controls the development of secondary sexual characters in female such as growth of hair in pubic region, onset of menstruation etc.

Progesterone regulates the condition of inner lining of uterus.
