Essentially three of gases compromise 99% of atmosphere : Nitrogen , Oxygen and argon ,each with respective composition s of 78% , 20% and 1% . The remaining 1% has a small variable . They consist of carbon dioxide, oxide of sulphur and nitrogen , methane and water vapour .

Carbon dioxide plays an important role / part in vital plant and animal process , such as photosynthesis and respiration ..... . Green plants convert carbon dioxide and water in to food compounds , such as glucose and oxygen . This process is called photosynthesis .
