Name the inorganic ion present in chlorophyll

The inorganic compound present in chlorophyll is Magnesium.

Chlorophyll is a pigment present in the leaves of plants and a reason why plant looks green in color. It is the most central atom in chlorophyll.  

Magnesium plays a huge role in photosynthesis. There are several enzymes which needs magnesium for their activity.
