a. a cricket ball rolling down on a cricket field.

aryankunalroy: A batsman hits a cricket ball which then rolls on a level ground. After covering a short distance, the ball comes to rest. The ball slows to a stop because (a) the batsman did not hit the ball hard enough. (b) velocity is proportional to the force exerted on the ball

Your answer for sure is Force Of Friction or Frictional Force.

When a cricket ball rolls on a cricket field, it is acted upon by force opposing it's motion i.e. in direction opposite to motion of the ball. This opposing force is none other than the frictional force or the force of friction, the necessary evil. It is not only in the case of a cricket but in case of every object in motion and with contact with a surface. Since, friction acts only when the object is in contact with the surface, therefore it is one of the contact forces.

Here is your answer

Force of friction

when a cricket ball rolling down on a cricket field.then it behave like friction force because there is a force on the ball opposing the motion.

Hope it helps you

kumar3013: This is due to force of friction because the movement of ball is due to roughness of surface which is required for frictional force
