LIVER,

Liver is the largest gland of the body weighing about 1.5 kg. It is located in the right upper part of the abdomen just below diaphragm. On the lower surface of the liver lobe , a pear shaped structure , called gall bladder is present .

The liver cells synthesize bile. Bile is formed continuously and is transported to the gall bladder via hepatic ducts.

FUNCTIONS OF LIVER ,

• Emulsify fat by bile juice.

•Made the medium alkaline.

• Activate the action of pancreatic and intestinal enzyme.
