The main pond of Chittorgarh is Gaumukh Reservoir.

The Gaumukh Reservoir is revered by the locals and the Hindus pilgrims.  It is one of the main water bodies which lies within the Chittorgarh Fort. The Fort is also referred as water fort. Within the fort there are 84 bodies of which barely 22 exists as of today.

The deep tank water body which gets its name due to the shape of it resembling the cow`s mouth and is fed by perennial spring water. It is located at the edge of the cliff near the temple, Samadhishwar.
