The Kingdom plantae is also called as kingdom Metaphyta. The Kingdom plantae includes all types of eukaryotic, multicellular, photosynthetic plants found in this biosphere.
The plant kingdom has been divided into five subgroups. They are as follows:
Thallophyta
Some examples are Spirogyra, Chara, Ulothrix, etc.
Bryophyta
Mosses and Marchantia belong to this subgroup.
Pteridophyta
Ferns, horse-tails, Marsilea are some common examples of Pteridophytes.
Gymnosperms
Pines, deodar, redwood, etc. are few examples.
Angiosperms
Examples: Mango tree, pomegranate plant, etc.
