The vegetation belts are dependent on the climate of the region. So let us first divide the earth into 3 major climate zones from the north pole to the equator-
- Arctic or Polar region (90-66.5 deg North)
      o Tundra
      
- Temperate region (66.5 - 23.5 deg North)
      o Temperate grasslands - Prairie, steppes , tempes
      o Deciduous Forests

- Tropical region ( 23.5 - 0 deg North)
      o Evergreen Forest
      o Tropical grasslands - savanna
      o Mangrove forests 
      o Deserts - oasis , scrublands
