Raincoat:
The primary material in a raincoat is fabric that has been specially treated to repel water. The fabric of many raincoats is made of a blend of two or more of the following materials: cotton, polyester, nylon, and/or rayon. Raincoats can also made of wool, wool gabardine, vinyl, microfibers and high tech fabrics.
Parachute:
Raw materials used in the manufacture of parachutes are Canvas, Silk, Dacron, Kevlar, and Nylon. More specifically parachutes are made up of "Ripstop" nylon that is woven with a double or extra-thick thread at regular intervals, creating a pattern of small squares.
