b. Chapter on Fundamental rights provide equal set of political rights to all.

c. 73rd and 74th Constitutional amendment acts provided for 1/3rd reservation of seats in the local bodies for the weaker section and women.

d. Women's Representation Bill which sought to provide 1/3rd reservation of seats for women in the Parliament has been passed in the Rajya Sabha.

e. Other important legislation's like Dowry prohibition Act, Domestic Violence acts have been passed to improve the position of women in society and ensuring dignity to them.

f. Women has been allowed to inherit property,legislation related to marriage divorce have been passed.

g. It has allowed for equal status and wages at the work place.

h. Girls education has been encouraged. More and more schools have been set up.
