There are a lot of optical instruments which use lens :

(a) Microscope : In the Microscope we use the convex lenses for the magnification of the very small particles which are not visible to our naked eyes it uses the set of lenses placed one over other separated by some distance having different powers.

(b) Digital camera : In the cameras these days the high aperture lenses of the convex nature are used these lenses are telescopic in nature and carries the capacity of zooming in and out of the object.

(c) Telescope : in the telescope we also use the convex lenses for the purpose of looking at the distant located objects. telescope lenses are big in aperture and the eyepiece is a small lens used for looking through it to the large aperture lens.
