The male reproductive systemincludes the scrotum, testes, spermatic ducts, sex glands, and penis. These organs work together to produce sperm, the male gamete, and the other components of semen.

Male reproductive system:
Pair of testis :
The testis are located outside the abdominal cavity within a pouch called scrotum. In each testis highly coiled seminiferous tubules are present. The sperms are produced in the tubule by meiosis in very large numbers male sex harmones testosterone is also produced in testis.
Vasa efferentia:
The seminiferous tubules open into vasa efferentia. They carry sperms into epididymis.
Epididymis:
One in each side, the vasa efferentia opens into epididymis which is a highly coiled tube located along the posterior side of testis sperms are stored in them.
Vas differentia:
From the each epididymis arises vaa deferens which ascends into the abdominal cavity looping around the ureter.
Seminal vesicles:
They opens into the gas deferens .They produce seminal fluid .It is the source of energy for sperms when they are outside the body.
Ejaculatory duct:
A duct from seminal vesicles join the vas deferens. and continuous as ejaculatory duct. Two ejaculatory duct joins at the centre of the prostate gland and opens into uretra .
Prostate gland:
The prostate gland secretions are released into the uretra through several ducts these secretions are active sperms and supply nutrition.
Cowper's glands:
These glands secretion are helpful in neutralising the acidity and lubricating urethra.
Urethra:
In males it transports not only urine but also sperms. It is also called as urino-genital duct.
