Chloroplasts are the cell organelles that contain chlorophyll pigments in them. They are double-membraned cell organelles who are responsible for photosynthesis.
Chloroplasts also absorb light energy and convert them in into ATP and NADPH which are required for the life process in plants. Chloroplasts help in differentiating between plant and animal cells as they can be found only in plants and algae.
