The name of the organism that causes typhoid is Salmonella typhi.
It is a gram negative anaerobic bacteria that is facultative and belongs to Enterobacteriaceae family.
This bacteria inhabits liver, small intestine, spleen and causes high fever in the patient with vomiting, joint pain etc.
This is usually contracted through poor hygiene and sanitation. Hence to avoid contracting typhoid , proper hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness should be maintained.
