depends on your definitions of "reptile" and "mammal." Both of those words were invented based on physical characteristics, before scientists understood how different life forms were related to each other. Today both terms have multiple definitions. They can still be considered scientific if a short definition is provided in parentheses.
Reptile: 1) all saurapsids except birds, 2) all saurapsids and synapsids except birds and mammals, 3) all amniotes except synapsids
Mammal: 1) the most recent common ancestor of all living mammals, plus all of that ancestor's descendents (also known as crown mammals or Mammalia in the narrow sense), 2) a broader category that includes the first animals to have fully mammalian characteristics, including extinct lineages (also known as Mammaliaformes, which includes stem mammals and basal mammals)
