- potassium dichromate
- Alkaline potassium permanganate (KMnO4) or acidified potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7) can be used as an oxidizing agent for the conversion of ethanol to ethanoic acid.
- We know that sodium carbonate is a basic salt. Hence, its aqueous solution will also be basic in nature. So, when red litmus paper is dipped in sodium carbonate solution it will change to blue colour.
