The part of a cell where many chemical reactions take place with the help of enzymes is the cytoplasm in plant cells and protoplasm in animal cells.

These places consist of enzymes of its own or secreted by various cell organelles which are present in it. The various cell organelles present in the cytoplasm/protoplasm in a cell are nucleus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, ribosome, Golgi apparatus, chloroplasts (in plats), etc. Names of few enzymes present are dehydrogenase, fructokinase, etc.
