The part of alimentary canal where maximum food is absorbed is the SMALL INTESTINE.

It is a tube like structure. It is the longest part of alimentary canal .The small intestine is divided into three parts. i) Duodenum-  an interior partii) Jejunum - the middle partiii) ileum-  the posterior part.

Food mixes with bile juice, pancreatic juice, intestinal juice in the small intestine and absorbed completely. In the lining of the small intestine a finger like projections called Villi absorbed  monosaccharides, peptides and amino acids into the blood capillaries.In the small intestine fatty acids ,glycerol, vitamins ,inorganic salts and  water are also absorbed.
