The involuntary actions include breathing, pumping action of the heart, peristalsis and control of blood pressure. The medulla oblongata is part of the brain stem that controls most of these involuntary actions (The brain stem is the posterior part of the brain that is continuous with the spinal old mark as brainlist cord.
