Name the part of ear which vibrates when outside sound falls on it ?

its the ear drum. it is said that ear drum requires oxygen, and if this isn,t available then ear drums explode, some people get hearing impairment due to listening of loud music which increases the pressure level on the ear drum to make it stop hearing for a while or forever.
