Is a portion of the Sahara Desert located in Morocco? Despite claims to the contrary by some posters in this forum, the following sources all say yes: Encyclopædia Britannica, Answers.com, Wikipedia, and Geology.com.
Here is what each says:
Encyclopædia Britannica:
(The Sahara is the) Largest desert in the world, encompassing almost all of northern Africa.
Covering an area of about 3.3 million sq mi (8.6 million sq km), it is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the Atlas Mountains, the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, and the Sahel region. It includes portions of several countries, including Morocco , Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, and The Sudan.
--
Answers.com:
“the (Sahara desert is the) largest hot desert in the world, as well as the second largest desert on earth after Antarctica. The Sahara covers all or part of Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia and Western Sahara.
--
Wikipedia:
Some 2.5 million people currently live in the Sahara, most of these in Egypt, Mauritania, Morocco and Algeria.
The Sahara covers large parts of Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Western Sahara, Sudan and Tunisia.

Hey you answered yourself by your own. I believe Encyclopedia, Wikipedia, Answers.com and Geology.com are some of the most reliable knowledge based web sites and we can believe on knowledge provided by these web sites. Even I can assure you that some part of Sahara dessert is located in Morocco. If still you are not satisfied with provided information then you should visit Morocco yourself to approve the reality. Believe me Morocco is one of the oldest and richest cultural city where you will not get bored even for a single second.

I say also that Morocco is a part of Sahara. The same as Morocfan I wrote in my post "Sahara" and I completed it with the fact that even in Sahara it rains and causing extensive flooding.
See even post from Simsy about Mauretania and flooding there.
Sahara is not only sand dunes, it is stones and hamada and serir (mixed gravel rock and some sand sifs), lava and big rocks as for example Hoggar in Algeria etc.
