Answer:

Sunlight reaches Earth's atmosphere and is scattered in all directions by all the gases and particles in the air. Blue light is scattered more than the other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time.

Rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.

The twinkling of a star is due to atmospheric refraction of starlight. The starlight, on entering the earth's atmosphere, undergoes refraction continuously before it reaches the earth.

Answer:

1. sky appears blue due to atmospheric refraction and also our eyes are much more sensitive to the wavelength at which the blue light disperses that is the reason y the sky appears blue

2. a rainbow is formed by a spectrum (band of 7 colours) when it rains the water droplets act like a prism for the sunlight falling on earth so the white light goes thru the droplets of rain and split up into a band of 7 colours the dust particles in the air act as a screen the sun has to be behind the rain cloud or downpour for the rainbow to be formed

3. the light emitted by a star also goes thru many atmospheric refractions before it reaches our eyes as the earth has multiple atmospheric layers the image of the star seems to wobble or twinkle

hope it helps this is in my own words cut short and simple
