\huge \text{\underline{ANSWER and EXPLANATION}}

When a current-carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field, a force acts on the conductor

or

When a conductor placed in a magnetic field is given a force, then it will produce an induced current

The direction in which the force or the induced curretn is acting or formed is given by Fleming's Right Hand Rule

Fleming's Right Hand Rule tells that :

\impliesplace the right hand fore finger, middle finger and the thumb at right angles to each other.

\impliesIf the forefinger represents the direction of the magnetic field, the thumb points in the direction of motion or applied force, then the middle finger points in the direction of the induced current.

\impliesIf the forefinger represents the direction of the magnetic field, the middle finger points in the direction of the current, then the thumb points in the direction of motion or force

That is,

Forefinger or index finger \implies Magnetic field

Middle finger \implies Current

Thumb finger \implies Force

we know that:

"current is produced when an current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field"

how to measure direction?

to measure the direction of magnetic field, induced current and force experienced, a great scientist named Fleming proposed a rule/law named as 'flemings right hand rule"

statement :-

• spread your right hand. keep the first finger, middle finger and the thumb at right angles to each other

• if you know the direction of force, align the thumb in the direction of force. the middle and fore fingers will tell you the directions of electric current and magnetic field respectively.

• similarly, if you know the directions of magnetic field or electric current then allign then respectively and you will get the directions of the remaining vectors accordingly

conclusions we arise:-

the direction of middle finger will tell us the direction of induced current

the direction of fore finger tells us the direction of magnetic field

additional info:-

in order to find more attributes we even use Fleming's left hand rule and the right hand thumb rule.

Fleming , Faraday were some of the great scientists who helped us to fix our concepts of magnetic field, current and force

hope my answer helps you!
