Answer:

The physical quantity which is equal to the ratio of potential difference and current is RESISTANCE. R = V/I. Resistance R is a constant of the conductor at a given temperature. The resistance of a conductor is a property of the conductor due to which it resists the flow of electric charge through it.

QUESTION :-

Name the physical quantity which is equal to V/I? Write its  unit.

ANSWER:-

The physical quantity is Resistance (R).

Its SI unit is Ohms.

EXPLANATION:-

According to the ohm’s law the current flowing through the circuit is directly proportional to the potential difference applied.

ie, V is direcly proportional I

And V = RI

Here, R is the proportionality constant known as Resistance.

The value of R is different for different substance.. we can calculate the value of R by rearranging the eq ;

V = RI

R = V/I

The SI unit of resistance is Ohms, i.e, resistance is measured in ohms.

Here V referred the potential difference applied and  I referred for the current flowing through the circuit.

Hope this helps!!!
