Momentum is mass times velocity
p=m*v
Differentiate momentum
D{p}=D{m*v} →dp/dt =m*dv/dt→F=m*a
To obtain force which is mass times acceleration if mass is constant.
With changing mass
F=m*a - u*dm/dt
Where u is the velocity vector of the changing mass being ejected or absorbed by the mass.
