Ans: Airbus A 380
Airbus has on February 14, 2019 announced that it will stop the manufacture of A380 by 2021.
The A380 has the distinction of being the world’s largest airliner and is capable of carrying a maximum of 853 passengers. The project was launched by Airbus in 1990 to challenge the dominance of Boeing 747 in the long-haul market and the first A380 was delivered to Singapore Airlines in October 2007. Since then Airbus has delivered 234 of these double-deck aircraft to 14 operators as of January 2019.
Emirates with 109 A380s has the largest fleet of 380s and the airline is set to get 14 more of these aircraft by 2021 before the aircraft production comes to a halt.
