The plant harmone which involve in phototrophism is auxin.

It also helps in the formation of roots and seedless fruits and promotes cell elongation and division.

This hormone is usually synthesised in the young tips of roots and shoots. helping them grow longer.growing plants placed facing a light source ,show bending towards it becoz the auxin diffuses towards the shady side of the shoot stimulating the cells to grow .

Hope this answer helps you.
