Emperor Harshvardhana more popularly known as Harsha was an Indian emperor who ruled North India from 606 to 647 CE. He was a member of the Vardhana dynasty and is considered to be one of the greatest kings of India. His rule of north India was plagued with peace and prosperity. It is believed that he wrote three plays in the Sanskrit Language namely Nagananda, Priyadarshika and Ratnavali.
