  • Whenever in Bangladesh there were political instabilities and natural disasters, thousands of Bangladeshi migrated into the province, which caused the people of Assam massive discomfort. At the front of the rally was the AASU. Their demands-especially to remove so-called outsider-were revealed in a number of strikes, agitations and manifestations against the central government. The most important criteria were for the local population to have more priority for jobs, to remove foreign immigrants to withdraw and and the resources should be used for the benefit of the locals.
