The process is called spawning.

  • For the process of breeding in frogs, to reproduce, males attach to female.
  • Females lay egg which is fertilized by sperm sprayed by male frog.
  • The eggs mature and cluster swells. They further float on surface of water.
  • The hatching occurs after about three weeks.
  • Environmental stress leads to selection and hence, out of large number of spawns, only few hatch.
