The process is called spawning.
- For the process of breeding in frogs, to reproduce, males attach to female.
- Females lay egg which is fertilized by sperm sprayed by male frog.
- The eggs mature and cluster swells. They further float on surface of water.
- The hatching occurs after about three weeks.
- Environmental stress leads to selection and hence, out of large number of spawns, only few hatch.
