The process called budding, most yeasts reproduce asexually by an asymmetric division. Small protuberance arises from external body surface of parent cell called bud. The nucleus of the parent cell splits into a daughter nucleus and move into the daughter cell. The yeast divided by unequal division to form smaller and larger cell. Smaller cell is called bud which detached from parent body and become an adult.

The commercial importance of yeast are the production of bread and alcohol by the process of fermentation.
