Hey Mate,

Here's your answer,

CHEMICAL REACTION

The process of rearranging atoms into new substances is known as a "chemical reaction", or a "chemical change". "Chemical bonding" is the process involving the formation of a new compound.

In all types of chemical reactions, bonds are broken and reassembled to form new products. However, in exothermic, endothermic, and all chemical reactions, it takes energy to break the existing chemical bonds and energy is released when new bonds form.

The difference between the energy needed to break bond , and energy released when new bonds form , determines the types of reaction . A reaction is exothermic - if more heat energy is released in forming bonds in the products than is taken in when breaking bonds in the reactants .
