The technique used to sepARATE
. .DYES IN BLACK INK IS CHROMATOGRAPHY.
....BUTTER FROM CREAM IS CENTIFUGATION.
...AMMONIUM CHLORIDE AND COMMON SALT IS SUBLIMATION.
....IRON FILLINGS AND SAND IS MAGNETIC TECHNIQUE.
plz mark it as the best.

(a) Dyes in black ink: Chromatography.

Different dyes are used to make inks. These dyes mixed in the ink can be separated using chromatography which separates solutes dissolved in the same solvent. The solvent can be water or alcohol based.

(b) Butter from cream: Centrifugation.

Butter is separated from cream by repeated churning motions which apply centrifugation principle which settles denser particles at the ‘bottom’ and lighter particles at the top due to spinning activity.

(c) Ammonium chloride and common salt: Sublimation.

Upon heating, ammonium chloride sublimes and decomposes to form ammonia and hydrogen chloride.

(d) Iron filings and sand: Magnetism.

Since “iron fillings” are “magnetic” in nature, a magnet can be used to attract the iron fillings mixed in the sand.
