Copper sulphate is purified by the method of by the process of electrolysis. Anode ( the positively charged terminal ) is made up of impure metal & Cathode ( the negatively charged terminal ) is made up of pure metal. On passing the current in the solution of the metal salt , the pure metal dissolve into the electrolyte , which then gets deposited on cathode , the soluble impurity go into the solution , whereas the insoluble impurity settle down.
