When zinc granules are added to dilute sulphuric acid then a chemical
reaction takes place in which zinc sulphide is formed and their is a
evolution of a gas. This gas is Hydrogen gas. This can be represented as
follows :-

Zn + H₂ S0₄ = Zn SO₄ + H₂
