Rubisco adds whichever molecule it binds to a five-carbon compound called ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate (RuBP). The reaction that uses CO2C, O, start subscript, 2, end subscript is the first step of the Calvin cycle and leads to the production of sugar

Answer:

There are two products that are formed when RUBP combines with O2 they are 3-PGA and phosphoglycolate.

RuBP oxygenase-carboxylase (rubisco) enzyme that is responsible for the reaction.

Explanation:

RuBP oxygenase-carboxylase which is also known as rubisco is the key factor and plays an a very important role in the process of photosynthesis for the plant. Due to this enzyme only carbon dioxide is used for the process of photosynthesis. But sometimes it uses oxygen instead of carbon dioxide which is very harmful for the plant.

It is so because carbon dioxide is the main constituent for the process of photosynthesis and oxygen is the byproduct. When the product is formed by the reaction of Oxygen and RUBP, the product itself act as a form of catalyst for the reaction.
