Process:

1. In stems of weak plants (called climbers), when they get some support (eg. a stick), auxins diffuses from the side of touch to the other side.
2. Here, touch was the stimulus.
3. When auxins diffuses towards the other side, it causes more cell division there and as a result, the weak stem encircles around the support (a stick in this case).

Benefits: Plants with weak stems get support and get more sunlight and air easily.
