Bleeding and blood clotting occurs when the blood escapes from the blood vessels into a surrounding tissue, and the process of coagulation takes place through the action of platelets.

Fibrinogen is a specialized protein or the clotting factor in the blood. When a blood vessel is injured thrombin, and another clotting factor is formed which change the fibrinogen to fibrin.
